Injury was to stop us witnessing what Merlin would no doubt have achieved but what racing he did take part in as a puppy was to show him up as 1 class performer, not many racers break 30 seconds around Nottinghams very tough circuit but Merlin broke this barrier 5 times.
He won 12 Opens which included 2 competitions of which 1 was the Caffreys Puppy Classic were he would give a start and a beating to Westmead Osprey as well as Deanridge Fury, he also reached the Final of Manchester Puppy Cup.
